Activity

We will follow a 5-mile walk showing the many different sides of London. Meet at Baker Street Station by the Sherlock Holmes statue and then take a leisurely walk through stunning Regents Park. There will be time to take in the rose garden, the beautiful plantings, statues, open air theatre, water features and the very secret garden. We will make our way right through the park and walk onto Camden Lock which will be in direct contrast to the tranquil Regents Park. We will have some free time for wandering around the market and having lunch by the canal side. We will then get onto the tow path and walk onto Kings Cross. This area has been recently regenerated and we can explore Granary Square (fountains to run through) Coal Drops yard, and the impressive gasometers now converted into apartments. The area features newly opened shops, the famous narrowboat bookshop and some interesting architecture in the Coal Drops. There are canalside pubs and cafes for a final refreshment break with views over this transformed quarter. Kings Cross Station is only 5 minutes' walk from here.

Refreshments

Cafes and pubs throughout the walk. Bring a packed lunch if you prefer.
