Activity
Middlesex take on Somerset at the home of cricket in the 50-over One Day Cup. A perfect way to spend a summer's day, with the sound of willow on leather and a picnic. Tickets are available through the Lord's website or at the North Gate on the day (contact organiser if preferred). Tickets are for unreserved seating in the stands and there is always availability for such games. So recommendation is to wait until you know the weather is going to be OK before purchase.
Refreshments
There are bars and food outlets in the ground, however a picnic is probably more traditional, and Lord's even allow a limited amount of alcohol to be brought in (1 bottle 750ml of wine or 2 cans 500ml beer / cider etc. or 2 small cans of aperitif, per adult).
Travel
St John's Wood on Jubilee line is closest station. Warwick Avenue on Bakerloo line is easily walkable too.
