Activity
An 8-mile easy walk from Isleworth Station, through Old Isleworth following the Thames Path passing the Isleworth Ait, Richmond Bridge, Marble Hill House and into Twickenham. There will be an opportunity to visit the fascinating Eel Pie Museum with its record of the rich history of Eel Pie Island, including its blues and jazz music, boatbuilding and the story of Trevor Bayliss, the inventor of the wind-up BayGen radio, a former resident of the island. Whilst in Twickenham there will be a pub lunch stop and also an opportunity, hopefully, to buy jellied eels at Sandy's fishmongers, the closest we can get to actual eel pie! The return will follow the Thames Path back down the river. Option to leave at Richmond for District line.
Refreshments
Pub lunch visit in Twickenham plus other coffee shops on route
