Activity
Initially an historical overview of the main part of Bushey including the Bushey film studios, museum and Herkomer House. A short two-part circular walk (total 4 miles), with a sketching session at the lovely Rose Garden in between. Basic tuition will be given and it is essential to bring a sketch pad and pencils etc. with you. The walk is through Oxhey village to the Woodland Trust managed Merry Hill Country Park, and continues through open meadows and woodlands, with views over Watford and Hatch End, before emerging at Merry Hill Road and down to the Bushey Rose Garden via School Lane and the Bushey War Memorial.

Bring packed lunch for the Rose Garden sketching session with a pub option at the Red Lion in Bushey village afterwards

London Overground to Bushey with free parking in nearby streets
