Activity
We have another nostalgia Halloween event at the Kew Musical Museum. This autumn they have a season of Hollywood musicals plus a famous silent film for Halloween. "The Bat" is the 1926 silent thriller film directed by Roland West. Packed with eerie twists and creepy atmosphere it is the perfect Halloween feature. It is set in an "Old Dark House", and generated this genre of mystery thrillers. A few years later DC Comics were inspired by the film to create the Batman character and the rest is history. Donald MacKenzie, the renowned organist from London's Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, makes a welcome return and will be presenting the film from the Museum's Mighty Wurlitzer with a specially improvised score.
