Activity
Starting at the idyllic Thameside village of Cookham, former home of Stanley Spencer, the 8-mile walk will be a loop, incorporating the beautiful woodlands of early autumn and a section of the Thames Path. There is a little bit of climbing and descending, but it is worth it for the wonderful Thames views! Will be a gentle to moderate pace. Some rougher sections and, if it has been wet, there may be mud. Appropriate footwear and dress for the weather is advised.
Refreshments
Lunch at Thameside pub, The Bounty, or packed lunch on nearby benches. Tea shop at the end.
