Activity
This 12-mile walk starts at the car park in Cowleaze Wood and descends through woods to the ancient Ridgeway. After a mile or so, we ascend White Mark Hill and wend our way around Watlington Hill with its spectacular views, yew trees and meadows. Another hill to climb and we can stop for a packed lunch and can take a break for some liquid refreshment at The Fox and Hounds then journey through the magnificent beech forest of Shotridge Wood. We then wind our way around woods and farms, making our way back to the car park through Cowleaze Wood. Several hills en route, one of them rather steep.
Refreshments
Please bring a packed lunch. Pub stop later in walk for drinks only.
