Activity
This 8-mile walk covers the two main parks of the London Borough of Enfield, Trent Park and Whitewebbs Park. From Cockfosters Station we make our way through the western edges of Trent Park, past Camlet Moat, to Hadley Road. Then we pick up the London Loop, which we follow alongside the Turkey Brook to The Ridgeway and then Whitewebbs Park, with lots of choice for lunch break. After lunch we return via the same route until Hadley Road, at which point we take the footpath to the less explored and more interesting eastern edge of Trent Park. Although the London Loop has some newly constructed and very good quality footpaths, please note that some of the paths at the Whitewebbs end of the walk are churned up by tractors and are therefore muddy all year round. Stout footwear is advised even if the weather is hot and sunny.
Refreshments
Packed lunch (recommended) at half-way point. Option to eat at Toby Carvery in Whitewebbs Park or King and Tinker pub next to the park. After the walk cake or ice cream at Trent Park cafe, or pub stop at the Cock Inn.
