Activity

To celebrate a very rare solar eclipse over London we have added an extra 3-mile evening walk with an ascent of a local hill to enjoy the astronomical phenomenon. We meet at the Crown pub in Northolt village and then walk to Northala Park. This park has the four famous mounds, created for free as part of the demolition of the original Wembley Stadium. We then climb the highest mound, with an easy spiral track to the summit. The eclipse will reach the maximum extent around 7:00pm. Bring protective spectacles to observe the eclipse. Afterwards we continue to Grand Union Canal, and we follow the canal through Greenford and Yeading. Walk returns to the Crown pub.
