Activity
This 6-mile walk from Chesham to Chalfont takes in the Chess Valley and the woods around the valley. We first take a tour of the historic Chesham Station (opened 1889) with a fascinating display on the history of the Metropolitan Railway and the nominated charity, the RNIB. There is the original signal box and many preserved benches and signs. We will pass several farms and hamlets on the walk. Leader will stop at Latimer House and will explain the history of the mansion including its role in WW2. Possible detour to Chenies village on the way to Little Chalfont.
