Activity

A 7-mile walk around Beaconsfield featuring the Bekonscot Model Village and Royal Standard inn. From station we will proceed to the famous model village, one of the first in the world, now preserved in a 1930's time warp. The model railway is one of the largest in UK and has a full-sized signal box to control the 6 trains running simultaneously. A new passenger miniature railway circuits the site. It was designed by Tim Dunn of "Railway Architecture" fame. After lunch there we will walk through the woods and hills to the north of the town. Late afternoon stop at the notable Royal Standard, possibly the oldest inn in England. From there last section is through meadows and oldest part of the town.

Refreshments

Option to bring packed lunch as Bekonscot has picnic benches. Cafe at site, pub on route.
