Summer Event Ideas and Help
Date: Thu Mar 5th
Organiser: Steve
Where: Our Lady & St Thomas Of Canterbury R C Church Hall, 22 Roxborough Park, Harrow, HA1 3BE
Cost: Free
Activity: This Thursday there will be lots of ideas, help and information available to help you organise a successful event for our Summer Programme:
- Books and magazines with routes and outdoor ideas/advice
- Maps
- Experienced event organisers
The aim of the evening is to help you develop and decide on an outdoor activity you can organise and contribute for our group.
Your contribution to our events programme should be:
- Commensurate with the activities you do
- Likely to appeal to at least a few other members
- Consistent with our outdoor activities ethos (i.e. social events by exception)
- Positive for our group
- Acceptable to the committee
All members more than 12 months with our group help organise an event each for our Winter and Summer Programmes. Or only one event is required if it involves 2 nights + away (i.e. a weekend/week trip away).
Most event planning (title, date, overview) for our Summer Programme happens during March. Dates and events are accepted on a first come, first served basis. So if you have a particular event/date you want to do, then submit detail first.
More information about organising successful events can be found here.
Events can be submitted here.
