SkiingA last minute ski booking was arranged to Italy for March 2004. Of the 11 people skiing, 10 of us had at least 5 weeks experience. The other was a novice skier. The snow was okay until the Thursday, when a fresh fall made conditions for the last two days fantastic. Eight of us had skiing lessons. Most evenings we drank in the hotel bar but on one night we partied hard until 4am in the town, then went skiing the next day. The resort at Sauze d'Oulx links through to Sestrieres with its Olympic downhill course. This was available on the same ski pass and we skied over three times.
