Peep behind the Iron Curtain

Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casuals)

Activity: A comfortable, city walk with lots to see and talk about. There will be some walking through parkland. Find out more about the world's second oldest profession: espionage. Some of these locations are still in use today with dead letter drops, microdots and poisoned sushi at your peril! We will be walking around 5 miles through city and across parkland.

Refreshments: We will be stopping off for tea at the 'Cafe Daquise' where the Profumo scandal stewed and brewed before we head home.

Travel: Victoria line to Pimlico. Allow a 10 minute walk to get to Tate Gallery.

Start: 11:00am prompt on the front steps of the Tate Gallery, Millbank, postcode SE1 7TJ. Nearest tube station is Pimlico.

Finish: Around 3:00pm at Brompton Oratory, Cromwell Road, postcode SW3 1ER. Nearest tube station is South Kensington.
