Marlow and Hurley WalkDate: Sun Oct 26th Organiser: Steve N and Ken Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casuals) Activity: 11 mile figure of eight walk taking in a variety of countryside that the Thames valley can offer. After negotiating a few back streets within Marlow at the start, there is a steady climb with views looking towards 'Happy Valley'. Followed by walking through various wooded areas, gradually heading towards the Thames where we pick up a crossing point just prior to Hurley. There will be a short stop at Hurley where there are a couple of pubs. The walk continues through farmland then we pick up the Thames path at 'Frogmill Spinney' finishing with a leisurely stroll along the riverbank, taking in the picturesque and relaxing scenery that belongs to the Thames, back to Marlow Refreshments: TBC Travel: If travelling by car the road to Marlow is on the turn off from the M40 at High Wycombe. There is quite a large car park at the meeting place of the Leisure Centre. There is also a main line station just a short walk from the starting point.
