Marlow and Hurley Walk

Activity: 11 mile figure of eight walk taking in a variety of countryside that the Thames valley can offer. After negotiating a few back streets within Marlow at the start, there is a steady climb with views looking towards 'Happy Valley'. Followed by walking through various wooded areas, gradually heading towards the Thames where we pick up a crossing point just prior to Hurley. There will be a short stop at Hurley where there are a couple of pubs. The walk continues through farmland then we pick up the Thames path at 'Frogmill Spinney' finishing with a leisurely stroll along the riverbank, taking in the picturesque and relaxing scenery that belongs to the Thames, back to Marlow

Travel: If travelling by car the road to Marlow is on the turn off from the M40 at High Wycombe. There is quite a large car park at the meeting place of the Leisure Centre. There is also a main line station just a short walk from the starting point. Anyone needing a lift from Harrow should contact Steve or Ken by the Saturday before the walk
Start: 10:00am prompt at the leisure centre/swimming pool car park, quite close to the suspension road bridge that crosses the river heading towards Bisham
Finish: Around 4:00pm at the leisure centre car park
