Little Missenden and Penn Wood Walk

Activity: 10 mile linear walk, fast-ish pace. Mostly flat, a few climbs. Starting at Great Missenden station and finishing at Amersham station. Walking through open fields and farmland, the ancient village of Little Missenden and a large beech wood, Penn wood. Approaching the end of the walk, Amersham old town and the last 20 minutes uphill through woods.
Refreshments: Lunch stop just over half way. On the village green for packed-lunchers (Karen is hoping for good weather!), or the Squirrel Pub for those wanting a pub lunch/refreshments.
Travel: Train from Harrow on the Hill leaving at 9.17, change at Amersham, will reach Great Missenden at 10.11. Frequent return trains from Amersham. If you wish to drive, parking at the start or finish. If you park at Amersham station (cost: £5), then catch the train at 10.05 to the start, your car will be waiting for you at the finish!
