Lea Valley Walk

Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casuals)

Activity: 6 mile walk through the delightful Lea Valley Country Park. Mainly following the towpath, discover the beauty and tranquility of this natural waterway. Also an opportunity to visit historic Waltham Abbey, the final resting place of King Harold (who got it in the eye in 1066!)

Refreshments: Lunch is a pub stop so food available if desired. Tea rooms at end too

Travel: 10.28 train from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt arriving 10.49. Change onto opposite platform for the 10.57 to Waltham Cross arrving 10.59. Then a short walk to the car park

Start: 11.00am prompt in the car park on the north side of Station Road. It is not shown on the map but is clearly visable on the satellite pic (see link below)
