Late For Your Date

Date: Sun Feb 14th

Organiser: Steve R

Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casuals)

Activity: 15 mile flat walk following the disused railway line (hopefully) west from Princes Risborough behind the Chiltern Hills. Then broadly north east via Thame, Haddenham and Ford, south east to Smokey Row and a few odds and sods footpaths back to Princes Risborough. Finish between 5pm and 6pm which gives you time to get home and spruced up if you've got another date. The route will not have been walked in advance so we may be looking for some signposts and paths, and the disused railway line may require some detour if not accessible places. Regardless, should be fun.

Refreshments: Pub stop possible around lunch time but length of stop dependent on pace - so might want to bring packed lunch. However you might find there are very few pubs available for ad hoc bookings as they may be full of Mr and Mrs Valentines.

Travel: By car: Take the A40/M40 west from London, leave at J4 and take the A4010 for 20 minutes to Princes Risborough, follow signs for train station, on your left before town centre. Park at Princes Risborough station (pay) or on side road (free) - allow ten minutes walk to station for this. By train: Take Chiltern Line train to arrive at Princes Risborough station at 09:51am. Departs Northolt Park station (near South Harrow) at 09:08. Trains roughly hourly for return journey.

Start: 10:00am prompt outside main entrance to Princes Risborough station, postcode HP27 9DD

Finish: Around 5:00-6:00pm at start point
