Devon

A mix of beginner and the more experienced horse rider took an hour's horseriding trek around south Devon's country lanes. The riding instructor wore a John Wayne cowboy hat. The horses went into a fast trot and first timers found it very bumpy, but a good way to burn off bottom fat. All horses were well-behaved and received rosettes.

French Alps

On a week away in the French Alps, several members took a 2-hour horseriding trek. It was a warm sunny afternoon and the pleasant location with mountains and waterfall scenery, forest, village and a river crossing eased the pain of falling off on a fast uphill burst.
