Holmwood Common Post-Olympic Walk Take 2Date: Sat Sep 15th Organiser: Marin Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casual members) Activity: 18 mile circular walk at a quasi-Olympic 3mph pace, starting in Holmwood Common and passing by Henfold, Reffold Copse, east of Newdigate, Hales Bridge, west of Leigh, Gadbrook, Dunsgate, Betchworth, Brockham and avoiding main roads and distractions such as pubs Refreshments: Please bring packed lunch and water, plenty in case of an Indian summer Travel: By road: exit M25 at junction 9, take the A243 exit to A24/Leatherhead/Dorking Continue to follow A24. Turn left onto Chart Lane South for 0.47mi. Continue onto Blackbrook Road until the junction with Mill Road and Lodge Lane. Fourwents Pond National Trust car park will be on your right, before the junction.
