No local pub, but we can do a BBQ on the Saturday evening if interested. Hostel is 0.5 miles from car park Cost: £36 per person (£10 event surcharge payable by casuals) Activities: Main walk planned for Saturday 10+ miles. Moderate level as no major hills to get in the way. Less strenuous walk for Sunday. Individuals free to explore other ideas, though this is prime walking country A break at Hindhead is an experience all of its own and you'll forget that the rest of the world even exists. You'll be staying in sympathetically restored National Trust cottages that are chock-full of character. They're situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so expect an abundance of flora and fauna in among the heath and woodland-rich countryside. Walkers will be in heaven, with trails to the dramatic Devil's Punchbowl, nearby Frenshaw Common and The Pilgrims' Way. Links: |
