Winter Mountaineering - GlencoeDate: Sat Dec 27th-Sat Jan 3rd (or any duration between these dates) Organiser: Martin J Cost: Rates and tariffs will vary from place to place, but the cost pppn at the log cabin will range between £15 and £20, depending on how fully booked it becomes. Priority for the log cabin will be given to those who can stay the longest there (£10 event surcharge payable by casuals) Activities: Winter walking / mountaineering in and amongst the spectacular and majestic mountains of Glen Coe. And of course experience the unique and memorable Scottish New Year and Hogmanay celebrations. From Sun Dec 4th to Wed Dec 7th you have the option to take a Winter Mountaineering course with British Mountaineering Council qualified instructors. Also a visit to the Ice Factor, an indoor climbing centre housing the world's highest indoor ice wall - see links below Refreshments: Available at the world-renowned Clachaig Inn - see links below Travel: TBC Accommodation: The Log Cabin at Glencoe Indy Hostel has been booked for the seven nights. If this becomes fully booked then alternative accommodation is offered at the same site.
