Exmoor and North Devon Coast

Cost: Accommodation is £51 (total) per person for the three nights (£10 event surcharge payable by casuals)
Activities: Walking and cycling on Exmoor and along the North Devon coast. On Saturday, Phil plans to lead a walk along the North Devon coast from Porlock to Minehead (around 10 miles) (note that the hostel is about 1.3 miles from the centre of Minehead). On Sunday, Phil plans to lead an 8 mile walk on Exmoor - visits the highest point on Exmoor, Dunkery Beacon. Starting from Wheddon Cross, the highest village on Exmoor, the walk includes a variety of scenic interest including wooded combes and wild moorland. Also, visit the medieval village of Dunster, or travel back in time on the West Somerset Railway.
Refreshments: Meals are available at the hostel, self-catering also possible. Britannia Inn pub 1 mile away. Bring packed lunch on day walks.
Travel: Around 175 miles / 3.5 hours from Harrow by car. Car sharing to be arranged nearer the date.
Accommodation: We're staying at YHA Minehead, which is set in a peaceful, secluded combe about 1 mile from the centre of the town (address: Alcombe Combe, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 6EW). We've booked 14 places at the hostel (2 4-bed rooms and 1 6-bed room).
