Cowleaze Wood and Turville Heath WalkDate: Sun Apr 22nd Organisers: Jan and Mary Cost: Free (quarterly surcharge payable by casuals) Activity: 11-12 mile walk starting and finishing in Ibstone. We make our way to Cowleaze Wood from Ibstone and then head to Christmas Common round to Turville Heath and from there return to Ibstone. The terrain is quite varied and there are about 4 steep climbs on the route but you are rewarded with fabulous views across the Chilterns. Refreshments: We will stop for lunch at the Fox and Hound in Christmas Common. If you wish to eat in the pub booking is recommended. Most of the group will probably opt for a packed lunch outside. Travel: Ibstone is just off J5 of the M40 and is easy to find. Parking is available at the side of the road opposite The Fox Country Inn. Public transport is not an option for this walk.
