Activities: Saturday: Brakes Coppice to Battle: 8.27 mile circular walk taking in Battle Abbey and field. Quite flat and easy going. Sunday: Brakes Coppice to Bexhill: 9.14 mile linear walk along the 1066 Country Walk. Quite flat and easy going. Refreshments: Small shop on site and pub within 0.8 miles Travel: By car: From Battle High Street, follow the A2100 towards Hastings for approximately 2 miles. Turn right into Telham Lane (sign posted Crowhurst). Continue into Forewood Lane. Brakes Coppice Park's entrance is 1 mile on the left. By train: From Crowhurst station, on the London-Hastings line, climb the platform stairs and head away from the car park where you will see a pathway near the southbound platform. Walk along the platform towards Forewood Lane. When you reach the road turn right and the entrance to the lane is about 4 minutes walk on the right.
