Barbecue with a TwistDate: Sat Sep 3rd Organiser: Steve R Cost: Free Activity: Barbecue in the evening (6pm+) at Steve's home. The twist is there will be a can opening competition in the evening. So bring your can opener and take part. For fun. Prizes. Details the week before. Space to stay over (let Steve know if you might want to do this). Bring appropriate clothing for the weather and drop in temperature as light fades. Refreshments: Usual barbecue stuff. Rolls, sundries and soft drinks provided. Bring something for the barbecue (burgers etc). Ditto any alcohol you may want. Separate barbecue for vegetarian food. Travel: Public transport not easy, nearest train station is Saunderton on the Chiltern Line then 40 minute walk along main footpath. By car from north west London: take the A40/M40 west, leave at J4, take the A4010 signed Aylesbury for 10 minutes, leave at the left turn onto the A40 West Wycombe road, go through the village High Street, turn right at the end into Chorley Road (signed Bledlow, Caves etc). Start: 6:00pm at Steve's home. Loads of free parking along the road or in the free car park in the Plant and Harvest Garden Centre at the bottom of his road.
